Bwahahahahahaha!

I'm linking to Aaron's entry. He's got the links to Atrios and DeLay's rant. I just think the closing line is hysterically appropriate.

Meanwhile, linked by Atrios and no doubt elsewhere, DeLay says gay unions will be 'central' issue:
"I think it will be central," [House Majority Leader Tom] DeLay, R-Texas, told reporters before addressing the Knox County Republican Party's annual Lincoln Day Dinner at Rothchild's. "Every now and then, an issue that is central to who you are and what your world view is comes along."

Americans "have been tolerant of homosexuality for years, but now it's being stuffed down their throats and they don't like it," DeLay said. "They know it will undermine the very foundation of this society, will undermine our understanding of what families are. Polls tell us that over 70 percent of Americans believe that a marriage is between a man and a woman, no matter what you call it."

He said that a "very telling difference" between the Democratic and Republican parties is that the former "is becoming the party of gay marriages" while the latter "is becoming the party of traditional values I think it's going to carry the day in the upcoming elections."

Any Log Cabin Republicans out there care to comment on this? Come on, don't be shy. You're already incredibly fucking stupid, don't add to your flaws.

Well, it is refreshing to see that P6 and the Aryan Nation are on the same page when it comes to Log Cabin Republicans. Nice to see that bigotry knows no races.

Yes, I'm very bigotted against stupid people. And as long as you've been here that was a very stupid statement you made.

Posted by P6 at February 22, 2004 06:23 PM

No, you are bigoted against Republicans in general. To you, Republican means stupid, the same way that Black means stupid to the Aryan Nation. There is no thought put into it -- it is just a knee-jerk reaction based entirely in emotion, and is in fact in opposition to thought.

The Aryan Nation hates them because they are gay people who happen to be Republicans. You hate them because they are Republicans who happen to be gay.

Phelps, that is exactly how you act about liberals. Your complaining about this is a case of pot calling kettle black. Don't dish it out if you can't take it. Your hypocrisy is bad enough, that you compare P6 to the Aryan Nations is simply ludicrous.

You seriously need this explained?

Log Cabin Republicans are blindingly stupid because they openly support a group that openly repudiates them, and is gathering as much force as it can to militate against their interests.

That. Is. Stupid.

I disrespect them. But I don't waste time hating.

That's only part of the reason he has a snowball's chance in hell of getting me to accept that he's to be taken seriously about this.

It's the comparison to the Aryan Nations that makes me unable to take Phelps seriously. The fact that he acts the same way that he blames others for is just an added annoyance. Honestly, I'm beginning to wonder if he's lost all touch with reality.
