Remember when I said I didn't understand bloggers because I somehow found myself categorized as a large mammal? Well, I'm still such, but now I'm a bit more comfortable with the rating.
As soon as I found out how the TTLB Ecosystem worked I figured N.Z. Bear should be counting unique links rather than all the links in a page. I even suggested it on the Bear's page.
It has happened. Now maybe I'll pay attention to the thing.

I only dropped about fifteen spots on the list, which is good to see. I know the kind of people who've been trying to game the ecosystem with multiple links and I'm glad to see them foiled (at least for the moment) by this.
um, okay, i never registered with TTLB. my blog just sorta showed up one day, when i noticed i got a few hits from there, and i was some sort of microbe.
i never paid attention to it until the first week of July, when both Patrick Nielsen Hayden and Atrios linked to my post about the then-vanished Army Times editorial, and all of a sudden i was a furry rodent (or something like that).
is it possible someone else registered my blog? possibly to help themselves with the links that i had there?
It's more than possible someone registered your blog. There's no security on that sucker.
