But I'm gonna do it anyway

Governor Is Willing to Bend on Budget
Schwarzenegger says of what he was told about the pain of cutbacks: 'Now I understand.'

…In a reference to the nearly $4 billion in cuts he proposed over the next 19 months taking money from health-care programs, higher education and the developmentally disabled Schwarzenegger said: "I hate making cuts. Because it hurts me. And now I understand when past governors said to me, 'Arnold, it will be tough decisions you'll have to make that are painful. We all make them.' I understood last week what that meant for the first time. Because I didn't quite understand what that meant. Those are painful decisions, to take money away from people."

Rubbish! He understood that type of pain well enough when Warren Buffet counseled revising Prop 13, didn't he?

The man was elected governor and he's only figuring this out now? What on earth were Californians thinking?

I really did just want to call him out on this lie.

I have this weird feeling a lot of people voted for The Governator because they wanted to be part of history.

It's going to be interesting to see how California reacts when he does all the thngs they voted against Gray Davis for. Because you're right, SE; he knew going in. He knew what he was selling and what he would deliver. And to whom.
