Retail sales in November, including the bellwether Thanksgiving weekend, failed to rise to analysts' expectations, suggesting that the Christmas season may not be as good as some retailers hoped a month or two ago.

Of course, the operative phrase in the article is "may not be as good". There doesn't seem to be any doubt that the season is going to be good for retailers, just not everything that they want.

You don't expect people to be satisfied with the idea of "enough," do you?
Not as long as we stick with capitalism. "People being satisfied" sounds like communism. Hippies are satisfied, and I hate hippies. (Well, they used to be. Now they are into more coffee than pot, and they have too much energy.)
