I liked "Bamboozled" a lot but I thought that it suffered from two recurring problems that I've noticed in too many of Spike Lee's films: losing the film's narrative thread and his wanting to hit you over the head to make his point. My wife and I actually drove 90 miles in order to see it because in the town near where we were living at the time, despite it having a very large black population, "Bamboozled" was not being shown. There was no conspiracy, however, because the theatre owners knew that their audience wouldn't go to see this film.
