...who is is missing Mrs. King, but also the unity of purpose of the of the mid-20th century Civil Rights movement.

What do I think? Well, I was going to write it up here but I decided it would make a good second (second ? yup.) post at Intrapolitics.org.

Y'all who expressed interest should register over there so I can give you posting privileges. Right now, just think of it as blogging until I get some other stuff going.

I don't ever recall black America speaking with one voice during the civil rights era. Robinson's nostalgia has gotten the better of him on that one. The one time I saw Dr. King in person was at a black church in the mid-sixties. His visit was somewhat marred by the fact that some of the prominent black ministers in the community refused to appear with him. This was in the sixties. It was worse in the fifties when the movement began.

Me either. I just remember one voice being listened to.

The article reads like a disinformation campaign for the CRM. No-stalgia is right. Now P6, you know folks listened to more than one voice - otherwise all them other folks would still be here. They're just as dead as Mr. and Mrs. King. In point of fact, some were killed before MLK...so someone was listening.

You know what I mean, but that's valid enough to yield to.

I stand corrected.
