All respect and no restraint

hmmmm....

I checked the web site for the local newspaper because I wanted to see what my neighbors were saying about this.

Found a fascinating conversation at a cop-friendly BBS.

Aiello was with Louis Antonelli on April 29 when he was gunned down outside El Sabor Tropical, a restaurant at Broadway and Castleton Avenue. Antonelli, 43, succumbed to his injuries on May 12 in Richmond University Medical Center, West Brighton.

Antonelli was shot around 7 p.m. after he and Aiello visited a basement storage space at 280 Broadway, the same address as the restaurant. Aiello was his longtime friend.

The bodyguard of the Staten Island jeweler who was gunned down nearly three months ago was fatally shot by cops this morning outside his Rosebank home, sources told the Advance.

Police responded to a domestic dispute at the St. Mary's Avenue home of Jason Aiello at 7 a.m., the source said. Aiello, a retired police sergeant, was holding a gun when cops arrived.

A 9mm handgun was recovered from the scene.

Cops blocked St. Mary's Avenue and set up a mobile command post outside St. Joseph's School.

According to police they received two calls this morning leading up to the tragic events at 128 St. Mary's Avenue. The first call, when the caller mentioned that shots had been fired, came at 6:44 a.m. while the second call, about a husband and wife dispute, came at 6:49 a.m. Both calls came from inside the home, cops said.

When officers responded Aiello met them in the street and was holding a gun. Cops could not confirm if Aiello had fired at the officers.

Officers were forced to fire on Aiello and he was transported to Richmond University Medical Center, West Brighton, where he was pronounced dead. His three children, a 7-year-old boy and two girls, ages 5 and 3, were in the "immediate vicinity" at the time Aiello was shot, a police spokesman said.
