All respect and no restraint

Pay attention, Lieberman

"If they decide to strip me of my status, they decide to do something un-American," Bartoshevich said. "It’s not democracy. It doesn’t stand for unity, which the party wants."

Oh, and you endorsing the opposing party stands for unity? Hell no...in fact, throwing your monkey ass out is the strongest party unity move thy can make.

UPDATE: Debra Bartoshevich received e-mail notification Monday evening about a conference call to decide her fate as a delegate. Rachel Strauch-Nelson, communications director for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, said the group also tried to reach Bartoshevich by phone Monday afternoon.

The conference call will take place Friday and Bartoshevich will have an opportunity to explain why she should remain a delegate despite her reported endorsement for Republican presidential candidate John McCain.

ORIGINAL STORY: Members of Wisconsin’s Democratic Party will vote Friday on the delegate status of Debra Bartoshevich, a Democratic National Convention delegate from Waterford who has publicly supported Republican presidential candidate Sen. John McCain of Arizona.

Bartoshevich is expected to lose her delegate credentials, said Marilyn Nemeth, a representative from Mount Pleasant who serves on the committee that will cast the deciding votes.

The party’s Administrative Committee will hold a conference call Friday to discuss a formal challenge against Bartoshevich. She will be given time to tell her side of the story and committee members will vote to maintain or remove her delegate status.

"If they decide to strip me of my status, they decide to do something un-American," Bartoshevich said. "It’s not democracy. It doesn’t stand for unity, which the party wants."

The challenge against Bartoshevich was filed with the Credentials Committee of the DNC, who referred the issue back to the Democratic Party of Wisconsin, said Rachel Strauch-Nelson, communications director for the Democratic Party of Wisconsin.

"They reviewed it and said it was within our authority to make a decision on it," she said.

If she's planning on voting

If she's planning on voting for McCain in Novemeber, and of course that has "nothing" to do with the fact that the only thing McCain and Clinton have in common is their whiteness, then isn't she asking to be kicked out.

Has anyone notice how little coverage McKinney's getting for her third party bid. All I ever see written about is Barr and Nader.

Which leads me to my next point. Why doesn't Ms. Monkey vote for McKinney, assuming of course, she's angry about the "sexism" Clinton endured?

And to borrow a passage from Revelations, "How long, oh, Lord? How long? How long must we suffer the ignorance of racists and their brazen racism, oh Lord? How long?"

Has anyone notice how little

Guilty.

All I ever see written about is Barr and Nader.

Not guilty.

MSM is covering McKinney?

No...some Black folk I

No...some Black folk I follow are big on her but as far as the mainstream media is concerned, she fell off the face of the earth when she had the contretemps with the security guard.

Oh. Okay. If she gets on the

Oh. Okay.

If she gets on the ballot in NC and it looks like McCain'll win here anyway, I am thinking of voting for her. Not that I don't wanna vote for Obama and the possibly the first president of color, but he's killing me with his public support of the white racial frame of reference.

"If they decide to strip me

"If they decide to strip me of my status, they decide to do something un-American," Bartoshevich said. "It’s not democracy. It doesn’t stand for unity, which the party wants."

If my memory serves me well, I think that white southern Democrats, eternally miffed at the party's support for granting black people their rights as citizens, tried to pull the same nonsense in 1964 and 1968. Nobody is preventing this brain donor from supporting John McCain but she can't support him as a delegate to the Democratic National Convention.

Cynthia McKinney

A few days ago I listened to a long, long interview on Amy Goodman's Democracy Now with Cynthia McKinney and her running mate, Rosario Clemente. I was completely underwhelmed at their presentations of self and the issues. (If I hear one more exposition of the hip-hop generation being used as a substitute for a coherent political critique and analysis, I am going to throw up.) The interview is still available for listening, viewing or downloading at Democracy Now's website.
