White House Offers New Pilot Story

WASHINGTON (AP) -- The White House offered its third version Thursday of a pilot who spotted Air Force One while it flew to Iraq -- a sighting that if publicly disclosed would have scrubbed President Bush's Thanksgiving Day visit to U.S. troops in Baghdad.

Why it is even an issue? Isn't it time to "move on"?

It is, indeed, trivial. And that's the problem.Can you tell me a story the Bushistas have floated in connection with Iraq that hasn't had to be changed at least twice? The fact that they can't seem to simply tell the truth about even such an unimportant thing as this is telling.

I'd rather have the little errors than "What records?" and "that depends on what you mean by 'alone'".
