Saddam Hussein was captured. And the terror status goes to orange.

You feel safer because there was no link between Iraq and terrorism and Iraq was never a threat to the US, right?

I never felt unsafe.I think spending an inordinate amount of time worrying about something that has less chance of happening than my being struck by lightning is just paranoid.Saddam's capture doesn't make me feel more or less likly t be struck by lightning.
