If you got a point you want to make or an issue you want to raise, an outlook you want to defend, here's a chance to do all that without breaking up other discussions. An open and unmoderated thread (though pornography, open racism, advertisements, spam and crap like that still gets tossed).

Back and Fourth
Why do we keep going back a fourth on this? I said if you want to make create a movement I would back you. So stop preaching to me, draft your petition and let’s do it. I’m a doer not a talker. I was at the Million Man March; I took the streets to calm tenses when riots were breaking out. And I hold free seminars to help people with their credit. Don’t pretend to know me because of this post. I have seen government throw us a bone, just to take it back. So no, I don’t have to believe anything. So let’s stop going back and fourth on this and let’s hold him accountable. Let’s prove me wrong.
I wasn't kidding when I said
I wasn't kidding when I said I'd create an opportunity for you to clarify. This is it...you don't get to do it in the thread you want to divert.
I don't. That's why you have to be clear. It's also why you're not allowed to divert topics...I don't know to trust where you'd take the discussion, especially since every comment you made was a boilerplate diversion to boilerplate topics.
This is funny.
This is the near sightedness that I am talking about. I all plays apart. If we came together with a united front and a community that is working we could have more clout in the political circus. We don’t have the bargaining chips that other groups have so we need to grow from with in. To you this may seem like I am diverting but trust me I am not. I will remain silent and see how it all works out for you.
We don’t have the
We have the same bargaining chips. In fact, we have a lot more than we and others give us credit for having. In my hometown, for example, kneegrow leadership and aspiring kneegrow leaders ran around for years crying about the fact that the city's Hispanic and Asian populations were growing larger than the city's African American population. It was true but it was largely irrelevant in certain important ways because blacks still made up the largest block of the city's registered and eligible voters after whites. What was really required to maintain African Americans' place at the table was a relentless focus on voter education, registration and turnout. The city's black leadership and its aspiring wannabe leaders were not up to these tasks because it meant that they would actually have to walk the streets and knock on black people's doors and talk to them face-to-face.
Do not remain silent;
This is actually the conversation I think you want.
Insistiing on clarity is "the near sightedness that [you are] talking about?
Any united front at all?
And if not, how do we decide what to unite around without clarity in our discussions?
And one more question: why did you come here, to P6? Are you trying to educate me or the audience? Because either way, if you don't respect the conditions that brought together the audience you want to reach, you should expect to be unable to reach them.
pt, I never forgot your comment about
Julianne Malveaux with this statement, and your story about her.
Thanks, Rikyrah. We have a
Thanks, Rikyrah. We have a lot more political capital than we believe we have.
