Still on the laptop

Slash and burn time. My main machine locks up whenever anything remotely related to web browsing is done. I have to reconstruct the beast, which will mean reinstalling one hell of a lot of software. Plus is, I'll wind up with a lot more drive space once I get rid of all the stuff I forgot was there, detritus from uninstalled stuff, etc. Minus is pretty much everything comes to a halt once I start.
