MASSACHUSETTS: CITY SAVES BUYING CANADIAN DRUGS Springfield has saved about $2 million in nine months by buying prescription drugs from Canada for city workers and retirees, said Chris Collins, the director of the program. Mr. Collins said about 3,000 city employees, retirees and their dependents were in the voluntary program. In July, the city became the nation's first to turn to Canadian drugs for its health plan.
