A-listers, men and mostly white. Ugh. Where are the women? Wonkette is covering this as a traditional journalist for MSDN. There is Talk Left and another woman called Jessamyn (see my blog post on this)
Where are the regular, everyday bloggers without a huge number of readers?

I'm willing to bet these folk are pretty representative of those who applied. It's a travel expense for anyone outside Boston. With the convention in town there will be no cheap rooms, period. To be honest, I didn't expect your average blogger to apply.

You are right - travel expenses will be high.
I have seen people blogging about their application to attend here and there. I am going to go back and check who they are, but I am guessing they can afford to attend. Good point. thanks :)

here is some info about people getting uninvited..and also they state that 200 people applied to blog the convention
