I get good utility out
I get good utility out of Technorati and The Blogging Ecosystem. You get to see who's linking to you, which is a good thing because if a person links to your page rather than a specific comment they've probably blogrolled you. And if they've blogrolled yoou, there's a better than even chance they've got topics you're interested in as well. That's how I found veiled4allah.
Al-Muhajabah (and I ain't gonna lie, I definitely cut and pasted the name) is a Muslim woman blogger who looks to have the sort of connections among Moslem bloggers that I wish I had with Black bloggers. She has a lot of links to information about Islam itself too. Kind of reminds me of this blog from a whole different perspective.
This is a good thing for me, because I will admit I know less about Islam than any other world religion. I know a lot more about the Nation of Islam(s), but you learn as much about what I'll call Old World Islam from that as you'd learn about the rituals of Catholicism by watching the SCLC. veiled4allah looks like a good place for me to start understanding Islam, and maybe why I didn't catch itg the first time around.
