Do me a favor

Check this out and tell me what you think of the design. I'm concerned about legibility.

Unless someone tells me something horrible that's what The Next Big Thing will look like.

Maybe even if someone DOES tell me something horrible.

interesting. george seemed to do all right with the green on black matrixy thing, maybe he used a brighter shade of green and a font with more body to it...in theory green on black is quite pleasant/low-eyestrain for long-term reading which can only be a plus, but your design here is a little tough on older PC screens [i'm sure it's awesome on LCDs]...the graphic layout is none of my business. FYI i really like the white text on dark green background in your P6 blogroll.

I think it would be helpful to have some kind of border around each of the posts, or some other visual distinction between each of them. Or use a unique color or style for the post title. That way it's easy to tell at a glance what goes together.

Major color scheme change. In fact, Al-M, you saw a different setup than r@d@r did.

I like what I have now. The other one had too much drama.

in safari 1.0, the left column overlaps the main one.

there is a ton of space on the top.

I'd make the font larger and not bolded.

Also, I hate to say it but the color scheme could be a bit lighter without losing it's macho appeal ;-)

Safari??

I have no way to test that. That's why all the CSS is standards compliant, so I can say it's not my fauilt. Maybe I'll just get rid of all the margins.

The not-bold font is a good idea, I just tried it locally. I don't even know why I made it bold to begin with.

Finally, I feel making it lighter would dissipate its machoness entirely. :-) Seriously, I don't want to get too far from the present color scheme. I had another one up briefly that was basically black.

Yeah, the new scheme looks better. The part where it says which blog it's part of and has links for comments and trackbacks, the style on that really stands out and makes it look like a header so that it goes with what's below it instead of what's above it. Or at least it does to me.

For a guy that started all this saying he ain't changing nothing I changed a lot.

But I really think what's up there now works.
