When you control a man's thinking you do not have to worry about his actions. You do not have to tell him not to stand here or go yonder. He will find his proper place and will stay in it. You do not need to send him to the back door. He will go without being told. In fact, If there is no back door, he will cut one for his special benefit. His education makes it necessary.

Over the last few weeks the media got a bit of religion and started challenging the bullshit the Bush regime issues. All the endorsements for John Kerry and the admissions of mishandling the run-up to invading Iraq should not be forgotten…by the media or by us. Even if they didn't know they were being had at the time (I know, that's generous to the point of stupidity) they know now.

My question is, will the news media do their job this time?

See, I'm still not ready to write off half of America as evil. Misinformed, though…

And a little more of Dr. Woodson, especially for Black folks—Conservatives as well as progressives:

History shows that it does not matter who is in power those who have not learned to do for themselves and have to depend solely on others never obtain any more rights or privileges in the end than they had in the beginning.

Maybe especially for Black Conservatives.
