I've decided I was a bit hasty

I think I was a bit rough on Prince Henry for wearing that Nazi uniform.

After all,we have thousands of folks wearing Confederate uniforms, reenacting the Civil War (does anyone know if they ever reenact battles the Confederacy lost?). We have millions flying the Confederate battle flag or some embedded variant. And I'm not seeing a big different, know what I'm saying?

in fact, the similarities are striking. just as we have people here rooting for the losing side of the civil war to this day, they have people who for some reason continue to root for the losing side of world war II. they had a thing about it on the twilight zone the other night - if you caught it then you'll know it didn't have a happy ending.

I think the prince's decision to wear a Nazi uniform gives you an idea of the actual quality of his education and how insulated and isolated he and his brother are from the world around them. It would not be the first time that a member of the House of Windsor displayed an affinity for the Nazis. His maternal uncle, the Duke of Windsor (formerly Edward VIII) had Nazi sympathies and was even suspected by the British intelligence service of passing along secret information to the German government prior to and during World War II. I have no use for royal families whether they be in England or Africa but Prince Charles and Queen Elizabeth would probably like to smack him a few times.

I live in the only state north of the Mason-Dixon line where Civil War enactments are a big deal. I don't get it but I also live in a county where slavery was still being practiced after the issuance of the Emancipation Proclamation. The civic boosters here try to keep this fact under wraps but there is an active Negro Historical Society that has an affinity for the truth.
