So when are they going after Donald Duck and Popeye?

You can't tell me Huey, Dewey and Louie aren't Donald and Daisy Duck's illegitimate kids. And what about Poopeye, Pupeye, Pipeye and Peepeye? Swee'pea might be Bluto's kid but them four ugly suckers in the sailor suit look just like they daddy.

RELIGIOUS RIGHT —  STOP SPONGEBOB: Alas, five years after Jerry Falwell threw down the gauntlet and demanded Tinky Winky stop "damaging the moral lives of children," a new threat to America's youth has risen. "Does anybody here know SpongeBob?" James Dobson, the founder of Focus on the Family, asked members of Congress and fellow conservatives at a black-tie dinner on Tuesday. Conservative culture warriors say SpongeBob Squarepants, the popular children's cartoon character, has been enlisted in a "pro-homosexual video" that seeks to "indoctrinate children to accept homosexuality." The video maker's lawyer says the critics "need medication." The New York Times reports that the movie, which will be distributed to public and private elementary schools nationwide through a partnership with FedEx, doesn't even mention sexual identity, though there is a music video to teach children about multiculturalism.

Even worse, the Duck never wears pants.

The American Family Association (the Rev. Donald Wildom's outfit) also finds disturbing gayness in the animated movie Shark Tale, because one of the sharks is....a vegetarizan!! That's just the same, isn't it?

Nile Rogers (of Chic fame) is behind the video project. His "We Are Family Foundation" made the video to teach tolerance (not ACCEPTANCE, which is a very different thing!) to kids, and solicits their participation in taking a tolerance pledge that speaks of respect for all people, regardless of their race, gender, sexual identity or other difference. These conservative fanatics apparently do not believe in tolerance, they believe in hate and discrimination. I wonder in what chapter of the Bible they find support for that? Is teaching children to be TOLERANT of the choices others make (even if you believe such choices are sinful and will guarantee you damnation in all eternity) the same thing as "indoctrinating children to accept homosexuality"? Nobody but a real sicko right wing freak would think so. Can we persecute them for their religious beliefs, or is that still outlawed by the Constitution?

Poor old SpongeBob is getting squeezed. For protection, he should start wearing a purple triangle on his head. Oh, so sorry. It didn't work for the teletubby fellow either.

Huey, Dewey and Louie are actually Donald Duck's nephews. It has never been explained by Disney what happened to their parents nor which one of their parents is related to Donald. Donald's uncle, Scrooge McDuck, is their great uncle but, again, Disney never gave up any more information. I can easily imagine that they were designated as nephews in order for Donald and Daisy not to be accused of having had conjugal relations.

I don't know...I always heard quotation marks around the "Unca" in "Unca" Donald. Maybe it's their accent.

There's no way Popeye and Olive Oyl get off the hook though. The kids even have their father's shape shifting powers, keyed by the same substance.

It was their accents. Perhaps a little bit of a Scottish burr. By the way, I can't think of any Disney characters that ever had "children" except for the whole Lion King bit. Mickey Mouse had a nephew and a niece as I recall. Wait a moment I'm mistaken. Pluto had a litter of look alikes and so did Lady and the Tramp.
