Dr. Cosby spoke at the Spellman College graduation ceremony yesterday. I'm reaching for a non-evocative encapsulation of what he said. My maleness has me reaching for some really dynamic language.
This is where I'm glad I've never pretended to any feminist thought. I tend to come down on the correct side of things as feminists see it but it's my own ethics and impulses that get me there. Here my reaction is visceral, and it's hard to write because I'm trying to both understand and be honest about it.
