Seems like some of the older entries in the rss feed are showing up twice...
That's a Drupal design

That's a Drupal design decision...it catually can keep versions of any given post, roll them back, yadda yadda. Every edit of a post hits the feed as an update. Check Alternet's feed for a classic example.
